The Innovation Strategy Programme in 5 steps:
At the start of this programme we will determine together which type of innovation strategy your organisation can and would like to handle. The lifecycle of one of your product categories is a good starting point. Because different stages of the lifecycle require different competencies, it is important to make clear choices in the beginning of the project.
You will become acquainted with three types of innovation strategies through a presentation. Then we will use the Intake Tune to determine the project objectives.
Time frame: 1 week
Time required per teammember: 0,5 - 1 day
New trends appear, leaving you to adjust accordingly to ensure success in the future.
A refreshing trend analysis and use of the VisionPyramid will help you to develop an understanding of future developments. We will identify the relevant trends for your company based on impact and potential for your organisation. The information gathered in this step is used to formulate your vision and perspective on the future.
Time frame: 1 week
Time required per teammember: 1 day
Your team will formulate a mission, based on the vision that has been defined in the previous step. The mission describes your objectives and how to reach your goal. It will be the basis for your position on the market and provides a joint focus and motivation for your team.
The team translates this mission into ambitions and measurable goals.
Then your team will identify innovation themes. The innovation themes will link your mission to future (product) innovations you will develop.
Time frame: 2 weeks
Time required per teammember: 1-2 days
After formulating your vision, mission, ambitions, and innovation themes, is is time to make a concrete action plan. This plan will help you to achieve your goals. Together we will determine the actions required to close the gap between the current and desired situation.
If your innovation strategy involves entering a new market, we will make a Market Entry Strategy. A Roadmap is made to show and prioritise all the projects and action points on a time line.
Time frame: 1 week
Time required per teammember: 1 - 1,5 day
The final step in the Innovation Strategy Programme is to implement the strategy in your several depertments of your organisation.
