Can I choose to do only one specific workshop of the innovation programme?
-
It is possible to do some of the steps of the User-driven Innovation Programme, i.e. the creative workshop or a training in Customer Visits. In this case we would recommend doing the rest of the steps ‘internally’, within your company. The result of this exercise will depend on your organisational culture and processes.
The advantage of working with an external party is that you achieve better results in a shorter timeframe. Due to a clear focus (and without the distractions of telephones and daily business) it is possible achieve excellent results and take relevant decisions in 1 or 2 days.
How many people should I invite to participate in a workshop?
-
The ideal group size is 6 -10 persons. A team of this size allows for diverse input from all participants and stimulates an interactive and effective process, resulting in well-founded decisions.
Part of each programme is an event that involves a bigger audience. This is often in the form of an interactive presentation, which an entire department or management team can be invited to. These events are a great way to involve other stakeholders and build a strategic base to communicate and implement the obtained results.
How should I compose my team?
-
Inviting a multidisciplinary team leads to the best results in innovation workshops. Your team could include product- and brand managers, people from a technical or engineering department, sales persons, designers, financial experts etc.
Furthermore we recommend to invite people that are involved in a later stage, such as implementation or market launch.
What is a consumer insight?
-
A consumer insight describes the main aspect or motivation that drives a consumer. An insight is often formulated in a statement of one or two sentences.
Often people cannot explain the reasons for certain actions because they are not aware of the underlying drivers behind those actions.
Consumer insight statements are used to address the (sub)conscious motivations behind consumer behaviour or needs.
Can’t I get consumer insights from traditional market research?
-
Using consumer insights is the latest trend in innovation. Consumers often have specific habits or requirements that prove to be a great source of inspiration in the product development process.
It is difficult to transfer this inspirational knowledge through a report or presentation. You have to experience it first-hand by immersing yourself in the daily life or actions of consumers or B2B-clients. Meet your consumer!
Can you help me with innovation related questions that aren’t covered in one of your programmes?
-
SunIdee also prepares and facilitates tailor-made workshops that meet your specific requirements. It would be our pleasure to prepare a tailor-made proposal that addresses your innovation needs. Contact us
I work in a business-to-business environment. Are your programmes relevant for our situation?
-
All programmes and workshops are available in a business-to-business variant. SunIdee has extensive experience in B2B workshops for a wide range of industries.
I work in the services industry. Are your programmes also relevant for us?
-
All innovation programmes are suitable for both products and services. We consider services to be ‘products’ as well. In all descriptions on the SunIdee website you can substitute the word ‘product’ for the word ‘service’.
How can I convince my manager to start an innovation programme with SunIdee?
-
SunIdee can assist you in preparing a document describing the advantages of an innovation programme for your specific organisation. We’re also happy to meet with you and discuss your innovation situation and requirements.
How can I ensure that all participants feel involved and committed to the project?
-
SunIdee will take care of this by speaking to all participants prior to the first workshop, in person or over the telephone.
Involving the participants in an early stage is a good way to manage expectations and improve overall commitment. Moreover it helps us to collect all the information required to prepare the customised tools used during the workshop. Involving all participants brings the results to a higher level.
How is it possible that SunIdee can achieve significant progress and deliver results in a short timeframe, which would normally take us much longer without external help?
-
SunIdee is responsible for a thorough preparation and execution of each step during the entire process. Together with a multidisciplinary team from your organisation we can book great results within a short timeframe.
SunIdee uses tools en methodologies that support creativity, and at the same time help to take decisions that are usually time consuming within an organisation. During the workshop the participants have a clear goal and focus and no distractions from telephones or daily business.
In another creative workshop we had to participate in a clay modelling exercise. Are we running the same risk when we work with SunIdee?
-
SunIdee has a clear objective: all workshops should deliver useful results that are a valuable contribution to you and your company’s activities. So we will not use methods that do not deliver professional results and added value.
Does SunIdee also provide innovation training?
-
Examples of training sessions we provide are:
Consumer Insights: How to discover an insight and how to use it in innovation
Concept Writing: How to create and define commercial propositions
Innovation Training: An introduction to innovation processes, competences, and skills
We also provide tailor-made innovation training sessions. Contact us.
What is the best way to ensure that the SunIdee project results are supported by the management team or executive committee?
-
After the project SunIdee will provide a report with all relevant the findings and decisions, in order to communicate the results to the participants and other stakeholders.
In addition to this report we can create an interactive presentation for the management, highlighting the process, results, and impact.
