Deborah Nas

Deborah is one of the founders of SunIdee. With her analytic skills and workaholic mentality, she is a key player in the company. Among other activities, Deborah is responsible for the range of strategic programmes, new business development, and client relationship management.

Deborah started her career at Philips and later she made the switch to KPN in the role of product manager and new business creation manager. As a consultant for KPN International Deborah has worked in India and the Czech Republic and was responsible for the development and introduction of several telecom service in Namibia and Egypt.
Deborah Nas graduated Cum Laude at Delft University of Technology, at the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering.  Her graduation project focused on the role of marketing based methodologies in a technology driven organisation. Deborah likes to travel in Asia, gadgets and play squash.

Michiel Oudakker

Michiel is the creative force behind SunIdee and one of the founders of the company. He is responsible for many creative workshops and the development of new innovation tools. Michiel is always aware of the newest innovations and a master in coming up with original viewpoints and new connections. Michiel is a true people-person and his social skills are of major importance in guiding SunIdee people and clients towards success.

After his graduation in Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology, Michiel started as a freelance designer. He became an entrepreneur after he won an Accenture contest with the “Best e-Business plan of the Year”. Michiel likes design, the city of Manchester, and Apple products.

Nienke Plompen

Nienke is the first employee of SunIdee. With tremendous enthusiasm and great sense of humour she is the facilitator of many innovation workshops. She has been involved in a wide range of projects, i.e. generating new services for credit cards companies, new product ideas for ironing boards, providing training sessions in consumer insights and developing a “project start-up methodology” for the Dutch government.

Nienke graduated at the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology, and her thesis was on a new method to measure the innovative capacity of companies. Nienke is an active practitioner of yoga, plays bass guitar, and loves New York City.

Laura Hoosemans

Laura is responsible for the Innovation Culture Programme at SunIdee and is currently working on fine-tuning and market implementation. She is facilitator of innovation workshops and guides teams in developing new innovation strategies, coming up with new product concepts, and creating innovative corporate cultures (i.e. ALT Sentega, Philips Lighting, Experian, Postbank and RPC Bebo).

Laura graduated at Delft University of Technology, and specialised in Strategic Product Design. Laura has the ability of asking the right questions which lead to true consumer requirements and needs. She loves to come up with new viewpoints and finds inspiration in other cultures: her latest discoveries are Guatemala, Jordan, and Belize.

Martin Klitsie

Martin joined SunIdee to strengthen the team on the strategic and creative domain. Martin has been working in strategy development and concept design for several years, in the automotive industry as well as the consumer market. He has experience and interest in a wide range of projects and quickly feels at home in dynamic settings and complex situations. Martin graduated Cum Laude at Innovation Management at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering, Delft University of Technology.

Frequent surfing trips keep Martin happy and inspired. Among his top destinations are Indonesia, South-Africa, Peru, Chile, Costa Rica, and, of course, Scheveningen.

Kitty Smeeten

Kitty Smeeten joined SunIdee as an innovation specialist earlier this year. Creating new concepts, strategies, and products that really create top line growth and profits is her passion. Kitty worked in product innovation, marketing, and trade marketing at several leading multinationals like Pepsico, Sara Lee/DE, Nestlé en Honig BV (now part of Heinz Ltd.)

She graduated as Bachelor in Food Technology HAS in 's-Hertogenbosch and completed this study with several marketing and communication studies like NIMA C. Kitty loves chocolate, colours, singing and musicals.

Leon van Middegaal

Leon van Middegaal is one of SunIdee's new innovation specialists. Leon worked for multinationals like Cerestar (now Cargill) and Danisco. Within those companies he was responsible for both regional and global key accounts within the food market. Leon has a Bachelors degree of the HAS in 's-Hertogenbosch as food technologist.

Besides work, his life focuses around his young family. Leon has a passion for music and cooking and likes to brew his own beer.
